Singers should plan to sing something familiar, without accompaniment. It doesn't have to be long, or of any particular style. An appropriate length is one verse of a song. Know the starting pitch, or key. Singing something familiar allows Dr. Webb to hear your voice at it's most comfortable (well, at least as comfortable as possible when you're the one auditioning!). Following this will be some short vocalizes to determine range. Finally, there will be a short sight reading exercise. Chamber Choir members are expected to sight read fairly well.
